About
Nest – A Lab was first established in London as a platform supporting emerging and experimental creative work. Operating in a nomadic format, it places public engagement at the core of its practice. Its exhibitions have spanned a wide range of settings—from alternative spaces to white cube galleries, and from indoor environments to outdoor interventions. Past projects have been featured by influential media platforms, including Art Plugged and FAD Magazine.

Project Director
Emma Gu (they/them)

Emma’s practice centres on conceptual inquiry and the orchestration of situated encounters between artworks and audiences. Their work examines structures of authority and normativity, with particular attention to diaspora perspectives and other marginalised positions.

Contemporary art curation to them is a mean of shaping spatial context and articulating conceptual intention. Their recent research analyses how individualised realities emerge in relation to grand narratives and the shaping forces of contemporary media.

Master of Art, Royal College Of Art (UK)
