Emma Gu (they/them)
Emma’s practice centres on conceptual inquiry and the orchestration of situated encounters between artworks and audiences. Their work examines structures of authority and normativity, with particular attention to diaspora perspectives and other marginalised positions.
Contemporary art curation to them is a mean of shaping spatial context and articulating conceptual intention. Their recent research analyses how individualised realities emerge in relation to grand narratives and the shaping forces of contemporary media.
Master of Art, Royal College Of Art (UK)
